Fire Pit or Outdoor Fireplace?
A fire pit is open on all sides, so it's great for a circle of chairs and roasting marshmallows. An outdoor fireplace sits at one end of the space, throws heat in one direction and gives the patio a focal point, a bit like a living room outside. Many yards have room for one or the other, and the right pick depends on the space and how you like to gather.

Gas and Wood-Burning Fire Pit Builders
Wood-burning fires give you real flames, smoke and that campfire smell. Gas fire features light quickly and turn off when you're done, with no ash to clean up. We build both, and we'll talk through the trade-offs with you.
Going with gas? We can take care of the gas line as part of the project or work with a contractor you already use. Either way, you don't have to sort it out on your own.

Outdoor Fireplace Installation as Part of the Patio
A fire feature works best when it's planned with the patio. That means space for chairs, a safe distance from the house and trees, and a low retaining wall that can double as seating. Add a pergola nearby and the fire feature, shade and seating come together as one outdoor room.

Should I choose a fire pit or an outdoor fireplace?
A fire pit suits a circle of seating and a casual feel. A fireplace gives a focal point and directs heat one way. We'll help you decide based on your space.
Do you build wood-burning or gas fire pits?
Both, for fire pits and outdoor fireplaces. If you're talking to other fire pit contractors, ask whether they also build the patio around it. We do.
Can a fire pit go on my existing patio?
Often it can, depending on the patio's size and condition. We'll look at it during your free quote, and can extend the patio if you need more room.
Do I need a permit for a fire pit?
Rules vary by city, town and HOA, so check with your local government and HOA before you build. We can talk through your plans during your free quote.
